Hello ladies, fans and gentlemen callers..
I apologize for my absence as of late, I have the lame excuse that I have been working for monies and things. Anyway here is a demo version of the up coming untitled version entitled “Untitled” .. to be receiving a title at a later date, cause I am lazy.
Here goes:
[audio:https://hellocomein.com/soundbox/hellomusic_aryn/untitled.mp3]expect another update on this very soon.. Or I will be eternally pegged as an internet music slacker… or it might be too late…
The following is an IM conversation about above song:
Mike: just listened to your song
Aryn: oh yeah
Mike: oh yeah
Aryn: its pretty rough
Mike: pretty rough indeed. did you map out your songs before you record or do you just kinda improv over them? in terms of structure and chord changes.
Aryn: its mapped basically
Mike: interesting
Aryn: i had the sections pre figured out and then just pieced them together
Mike: while recording you decided ‘well its time to go to section 8’ etc or you knew how many measures etc?
Aryn: um. i knew how long each section was and how many measures
Mike: gotcha… just wondering
Aryn: does it sound strange?
Mike: i need to listen again…some parts seemed to come out of nowhere and then never resurfaced again… sounded like you were improving over the drum beat and just changing it up a lot… so i didnt know
Aryn: the drum beat was added after the guitar part… i will probably redo the drums on this as well
Mike: are you doing all single takes on this or cutting and splicing?
Aryn: both…the last section is a second or third take
Mike: so you have words?
Aryn: it will… when i update and post again
Mike: i need to get started on some of that stuff today
cant decide if i want to go to coffee shop to do it or if that will just distract me
Aryn: yeah… coffee shop makes for recording difficulties
Mike: well i meant mixing…but cutting works well there… i did a majority of my recording for the first part of this song yesterday… now i just need to cut and lay up and then see where im at and what i need
Aryn: cool
