Here’s my start of a reworking of Aryn’s Oxygen 1.5. I still have a ways to go here, but wanted to share from the beginning. My main goal here is to add some sort of vocal and to have a little bit more of a cohesive song structure. Clearly I have neither of these currently, but it’s all in my head- promise! Planning on finishing this up tommorow in time for the June release (late again!).

Hey Greg this is sounding great…I had to listen to it once or twice and then to the original to see the similarities. What do you intend to do to finish it?
We are shooting to have things wrapped up tomorrow night (sunday) so stay tuned for all the finalities. Hopefully I can wrap up whatever I intend to do between now and then (esp with a haircut and a Tortoise show looming over me).

Believe it or not, I dont know many people outside you or Aryn that would a) know who they are b) care at all… In these parts they are known as a ‘hippy’ band… go figure.
HIPPY Band!!?? well .. either way its going to be a rocking show. I got to see them at the Granada after their latest album came out a few years back ( were you guys with me? ) and man it was rocking.. My suggestion, go by yourself or with other trusted musicite.. This is not a show for the weak willed.
Yeah this is not a band to take a date too. Girls dont seem to like experimental, electronic, instrumental post rock do they? I’d say at least 3\4 of the female audience tonight will be with their ‘boyfriends who play guitar.’ Am I wrong on this?
I think this will be the third time I’ve seen Tortoise…once in 2001 and once in 2004 (I think w\ you Aryn yes)… so I guess every three years or so.
